Ms. Jewell Marceau grew up in Virginia Beach, VA in a conservative Christian family. She started appearing in girl-girl adult films under the pseudonym “Scarlett Fever” at age 20. She later changed it to “Jewell Marceau” when she began working with Harmony Concepts as they found her original name to be “a little too ‘slutty.” However, she maintained the Scarlett stage name for other production works such as with the now defunct Devonshire Productions, as well as several other companies after adopting Jewell Marceau as her primary stage name.

Jewell has appeared in hundreds of explicit hardcore pornographic movies with bondage and fetish themes and been featured in a number of fetish adult magazines, such as Hustler’s Taboo, Heavy Rubber (Germany) and Skin Two (UK) (including the 2006 Directory cover, though hooded), Leg World, Leg Sex, Nugget, Bondage Life, Fetishette, Masaad (Netherlands), and Bound for Pleasure (UK). Occasionally Ms. Marceau appears in non-fetish lesbian and male-to-female sex films for mainstream porn studios such as Evil Angel, Wicked, New Sensations, Vivid, and Naughty America to name a few.

Ms. Marceau operates her own film production company “The Crowned Jewell Productions” and several commercial websites such as her original DID site JewellMarceau.com launched in 2000 and Ms. Marceau’s FemDom website CrownMyJewell.com recently launched in 2026. In 2004, Marceau won the SIGNY second-place Silver Laurel in the category of Best Bondage Model. In 2005, Marceau was awarded the SIGNY Bondage Award Gold Laurel as the year’s Best Bondage Model.

After launching JewellMarceau.com and she began directing for her own studio, The Crowned Jewell Productions.

Her growing library of BDSM films led to European distribution and worldwide broadcast deals, as well as nominations from AVN and XBIZ as a director of Best BDSM Film for consecutive years.  In 2002, Marceau earned the Best Bondage Model award at Dressed to Thrill in Las Vegas, and in 2007, won an AVN Award for Best Group Sex Scene – Video for her work in Fashionistas Safado: The Challenge. That same year, she moved to London, and began developing her skills as professional Dominatrix outside of film sets.

In 2014, Marceau moved back to Los Angeles to re-stake her claim in the adult film world.  She co-hosted the Fetish Awards from 2016 – 2019, earned AVN Fan Awards nominations in 2015, 2020 and 2024, received the FetishCon Multi-Year Guest of Honor Award in 2016, and was inducted into the Dominatrix Hall of Fame in 2023.  In addition, she taught the classes and workshops “Bondage For Beginners” at FetishCon, DomConLA, and Passional in Philadelphia; “Bondage For Dummies” in Los Angeles; and “How to Organize, Facilitate, & Shoot Your Own Fetish Production” at FetishCon.
